WTI delivers letter to Governor Abbott asking him to stop the execution of Rodney Reed

Juan Melendez and Shujaa Graham delivered a letter to Governor Abbott's office written by WTI Executive Director Kirk Bloodsworth on behalf of all of our death row exonerees. The letter explains the issues with the case against Rodney Reed and compares those issues to the many reasons why WTI exonerees were exonerated.

“The issues present in Mr. Reed’s case are frighteningly similar to the issues that led to each of our wrongful convictions… What our cases do NOT have in common with Mr. Reed’s case is untested DNA evidence. Many of us are alive today because of post-conviction DNA testing.”
