WTI elected to Steering Committee of World Coalition

At the annual General Assembly of the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty, held in Brussels, Belgium, on February 26, 2019, Witness to Innocence was elected to the Steering Committee of the World Coalition. Twenty member organizations were elected to the policy-making Steering Committee.

At a time when there are innocent death row prisoners being released in other places in the world, the importance of innocence and the voices of exonerees in reaching global abolition has been recognized worldwide.
