Arizona Justice Project welcomes Kirk Bloodsworth
Kirk Bloodsworth spoke at an event for Wrongful Conviction Day at the Arizona Justice Project. Kirk shared his story to show people the issues with the death penalty and the issue of wrongful conviction. Kirk also spoke on the need for states to provide compensation to those who have been wrongfully convicted. He also expressed that the process for getting compensation should not require innocent exonerees to jump through hoops. The issue of a lack of resources for reentry for exonerees also came up and Kirk discussed the need for resources to be dedicated to helping those who have been found innocent.
