[VIDEO] Executive Director Kirk Bloodsworth works toward fair compensation laws in Maryland
Kirk Bloodsworth was in Annapolis with other exonerees to support legislation that will speed up the process of compensation. Kirk was joined by Alfred Chestnut and Ransom Watkins, who were both exonerated in November after 36 years in prison.
Receiving compensation in Maryland is currently a long process because it must go through the Board of Public Works.
“Fix this compensation law and do it one time and get it right,” Bloodsworth said.
