Alabama Appeals Court Denies Toforest Johnson New Trial Despite Strong Evidence of Innocence



Toforest Johnson was convicted and sentenced to death in 1998 despite there being no physical evidence linking him to the crime that occurred. On May 6, 2022 the state appeals court ruled that Toforest was not entitled to relief on his claim of prosecutorial misconduct.
